Reverb is where sound bounces and reverberates from the area you are in. Just like when you are singing in the bathroom gives a particular sound of more space. You can set reverb so the performers sounds like they are performing in a cathedral or a concert hall.

Delay is where time is set for a particular time during playback creating an echo sound. This can be set for longer or shorter periods of time.

Distortion is where the audio signal is altered to produce a fuzzy and gritty tone.
